Congratulations to all of our 2006 award winners! We finished 2006 in better shape financially than last year. Your continued support and the new fee structure allowed that to happen in spite of somewhat lower entries and one less event (due to weather). Mary Teff continued the Food Fund Raiser Project with the help, time, food, and donations of many others. It was again a great help financially. Besides that we had lots of good food and a chance to socialize. Joyce Autry, Hospitality Chairman, looked after the 4th of July barbecue and Awards Banquet in addition to helping Mary Teff with the Food Fund Raisers. Kenny and Trudy Jensen were regular help. Trudy with timing and announcing and Kenny with setting up and whatever else that needed done. We always had help setting up panels and moving the announcer's wagon from many others. Jack McComber, Cattle Coordinator, and Wayne Survant, Rocky Ford Liaison, took care of the cattle and arena in their usual smooth and capable manner. Thank you both. Sometimes it takes a lot to stay on top of the situations that arise. We had generous donations toward awards from Jim Spaulding (donated fee for judging), JR and Lois Stansell, and Brett and Smiley Shawcroft (in the name of The Playboy Channel, Brett's cutting horse). Also Tim and Catherine Swain donated their winnings to SCCHA. Thank you all. This very active participation by our members is what makes our association work so well.
